1. Transcription accuracy

WhisprDesk uses automatic speech recognition. ASR systems make errors, especially with overlapping speech, accents, technical jargon, low-quality audio, and proper nouns. Always review transcripts before relying on them for medical, legal, financial, journalistic, or operational decisions.

2. AI cleanup and AI agent

When you enable BYOK AI features, your transcribed text is sent to a third-party large language model (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google). LLMs can fabricate facts, omit content, or change meaning even when asked only to clean up grammar. Treat AI-cleaned output as a draft, not a record.

3. Meeting recording is your responsibility

Whether a meeting can be lawfully recorded depends on the jurisdictions of every participant. WhisprDesk does not detect jurisdiction or consent and does not warn you. See our Acceptable Use Policy for the standard you must meet.

4. No professional advice

Nothing produced by WhisprDesk constitutes legal, medical, accounting, or other professional advice. Output from the app is a tool to help you do your work; it is not a substitute for the judgment of a qualified professional.

5. Third-party content

WhisprDesk integrates with open-source models (Whisper, NVIDIA Parakeet) and third-party AI providers under BYOK. We do not control those systems' outputs and we are not responsible for them. Each provider has its own terms governing the content their service produces.

6. Relationship to other policies

This Disclaimer is part of, and should be read alongside, our Terms of Service (especially the warranty and limitation-of-liability clauses) and our Acceptable Use Policy. Where this Disclaimer and another document overlap, both apply.
